DreamWorks has held the world premiere of "Megamind" on Saturday, October 30 at Mann's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. As it was only a day away from Halloween, the studio arranged the event to be a kind of costume party as well.
Voice cast Will Ferrell picked up a simple red training outfit to attend the special screening. Upon arrival, he met Justin Bieber and the two made robotic moves. The Canadian singer, who sported huge glasses, also stole the spotlight on the blue carpet when he channeled his inner photographer and playfully snapped picture with his camera.
Meanwhile, some other guests were all-out for the premiere. Tim DeKay took along his Superman clan, Nolan Gould appeared as a nerd scientist, Erin Sanders came out as Hit Girl from "Kick-Ass", Robbie Amell was a Batman and Italia Ricci was a Snow White. Bella Thorne, Kathryn Newton and Pia Mia, in the meantime, teamed up as cute fairies.
Also seen among the guests at the special screening were David Cross, Jane Lynch as well as Mario Lopez and his family. "Megamind" screenwriters Brent Simons and Alan Schoolcraft and director Tom McGrath did not miss the event.
"Megamind" is a story of super villain Megamind who accidentally defeats his archrival Metro Man. Losing his oomph, the villain creates new superhero rival Tighten. Unfortunately for him and the world, the new hero wants to be a super villain too. The new villain begins his rampage, and Megamind sets out to stop him, beginning a path to redemption in the process. The animation will open wide in U.S. theaters on November 5.
