Michael Ironside and are back on "" as Lois' father and wild-child sister respectively. The General and Lucy Lane decide to drop in on Lois and Clark for a surprise Thanksgiving dinner. Clark and the General get off to a rocky start after Lois' father bashes the superheroes and tells Clark he is trying to pass a vigilante registration law.

Meanwhile, in an effort to stop the vigilante registration act from being passed, Rick Flagg (guest star Ted Whittall) lies to Lucy in order to lure Clark away from the farm long enough for him to assassinate the General. Lois is torn between making her father proud and her love for Clark.

The episode "Ambush" will air on November 5 at 8/7c, followed by a new episode of "". In "Family Matters", Dean becomes suspicious of Samuel's motives, but Sam isn't sold on the idea that their grandfather is doing anything wrong. The brothers go along on a hunt with Samuel and the other Campbells, but things go terribly awry.

Roland Emmerich is reportedly making another alien invasion movie after 1996 "Independence Day". According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the German filmmaker is secretly prepping to shoot "" which will be made with only $5 million budget.

"The Zone" allegedly will be in the same vein of Matt Reeves' "", being presented in found footage with relatively unknown cast. Plot details of the improv-based movie are not yet known but rumor has it two leads have just been cast, "one playing a haggard journalist in his 40s or 50s, the other a black man in his early to mid 20's, the cameraman."

further reports Sony will distribute the movie as a negative pick-up. French writer-director Guillaume Tunzini reportedly writes the script while Loucas George serves as a producer. Production could start in mid-November.

Roland Emmerich is currently in post-production of "", which is set for September 23, 2011 release in the U.S. The 54-year-old director's latest film which has hit theaters was "" which was made with an estimated $200 million budget.

Kid Rock Calls Steven Tyler's Move to Be 'Idol' Judge 'Stupid'

has aimed a furious rant at frontman over his "stupid" new job as an "" judge - accusing the singer of destroying the "sacred American institution of rock and roll".

The rocker recently joined the panel of the hit TV talent show along with , following the departure of , and . But Rock is fuming about Tyler's decision to sign up for the reality series, insisting the star is making a massive mistake.

He tells Entertainment Weekly, "I think it's the stupidest thing he's ever done in his life. He's a sacred American institution of rock and roll, and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and set it on fire."

"I think whoever's advising him... we should bring back the guillotine, or whatever they call that thing. And if it was himself, he needs some serious counsellings. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth."

Gretchen Jones stole the title of "" season 8 winner from Mondo Guerra. These two, along with Andy South were competing against each other in the Thursday, October 28 finale, but it was the last-standing woman who impressed and the rest of the judges with her collection.

In the final runway, Gretchen showed her signature feminine design which had some parts fitted and other flowy. Nina Garcia described her clothes ready-to-wear but said it could use better styling. She liked Gretchen's prints, particularly the patchwork pants. Michael Kors loved the jewelry, Klum thought the prints are repetitive while guest judge wanted to see it popping.

After a lengthy discussion, the judges agreed that the 28-year-old from Portland, Ore. has more quality than her peers. Gretchen, in tears, said, "Thank you so much." She added later, "My God, I needed this so bad, in so many different ways. And I certainly know that Mondo and I gave them hell. Now I truly feel like I'm supposed to be doing what I'm doing."

Simpson admitted she is a fan of Gretchen's collection, saying "Your designs are amazing and I can't wait to buy them. and I know that my sister [] is going to rock them impeccably."

Meanwhile, Mondo is not bitter about the loss. He said after the announcement, "I honestly believe that everything happens for a reason. This experience has just proven to me what I am capable of achieving."

Michael Jackson's Nephew TJ Jackson Tapped to Play in 'Sisterella'

's nephew, TJ Jackson, is to step into his uncle's moonwalking shoes for a new musical with singer . The King of Pop was planning to hit the stage in Los Angeles in the ambitious production of "Sisterella" after wrapping his This Is It concerts in London, but his death last summer forced his fellow producers to rethink the whole show.

And now Tito Jackson's son will take his place when the show opens next year. He'll play the role of Prince Jean Luc - the role originally developed for his famous uncle. "Tell It to My Heart" hitmaker Dayne will play wicked stepmother Dahlia in the production.

The musical is set in turn-of-the-century New York. It tells the story of a wicked stepmother who tries to steal the fortune her late husband left to his daughter. Jerry Greenberg and Frank Dileo will produce the musical, which first debuted in Los Angeles at the Pasadena Playhouse in 1996.

The creator of "Wallace & Gromit" has opened up about the Plasticine pair's failed Hollywood bid, insisting a language barrier killed the movie deal. Animator Nick Park and Aardman Animations, the firm behind "Wallace & Gromit", had signed a contract with executives at DreamWorks production company to release five films starring the 'claymation' characters.

But the agreement fell apart in 2007 after three films - and Park blames American studio bosses for failing to understand his British humor. He tells Britain's Radio Times, "There is a language barrier that often happens with humor. '' was going to be called 'The Great Vegetable Plot' but market research didn't like it."

"The verdict was that vegetables are a negative with kids, but of course that's why it's good and works. That's how Wallace and Gromit works. It was elevating the uncool and mundane to something big in Hollywood. That's the irony."

And Park admits the stress of the industry prompted him to hand over more control to Aardman's creative director Merlin Crossingham. He adds: "As a control freak you just can't lose control and therefore the stress levels are high. It takes its toll. It's the industry side that burns you out and the creativity that builds you up. That's part of the reason I've stepped back a little and Merlin has taken over."

"" star has a killer new role - he's signed up to play cult leader Charles Manson. The Australian actor is gearing up to play the convicted killer in the as-yet-untitled project, which will be directed by Brad Anderson.

Manson is serving a life prison sentence for seven counts of murder and one of conspiracy to murder after coordinating a killing spree in the late 1960s as the leader of the Manson Family.

Two days shy of its U.S. release, "" has been screened at Mann Chinese 6 in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 27. The cast and crew looked happy as they attended the premiere of the movie which serves as the seventh installment of the horror film franchise.
